Every stake creates a separate lock with its own amount, term, rate, and unlock date — like a deposit certificate. There is no "top-up" of an existing lock and no extension; to stake more, add another lock (it gets the rates current at that moment).
Rewards accrue continuously and are claimable up to once every 7 days per lock (on-chain throttle). Claims are a single transaction on Pentagon Chain only — they never touch Ethereum and nothing crosses chains. Unclaimed $PC is never lost; accrual stops at your lock's end date and anything accrued remains claimable. Claim transactions pay a small native-$PC gas fee on Pentagon Chain; registered Pentagon Games members with a connected wallet receive their initial gas free.

Rates for new locks follow a published tranche schedule enforced on-chain — they step down as the program fills (founder rates first, gone when their tranche fills). An opened lock's rate is fixed for its whole term and can never be changed. In exceptional conditions we may lower future rates below the schedule or close new locks early, with ≥ 7 days' notice — never retroactively. Rewards are paid from a finite, pre-funded pool of already-existing $PC (no new $PC is minted); claims are solvency-limited and pause if the pool is empty until it is topped up. Rewards are discretionary loyalty grants, not interest and not a debt.
Built for community members using $PC they already hold — this program rewards people who earned $PC through participation. It is a loyalty program for existing holders, not an open invitation. In this first version there is no on-chain membership check; a membership requirement may be introduced in a later version. Per-wallet limit 100 $PC. Not available in restricted jurisdictions; you are responsible for eligibility and taxes.
Members with verified VIP status and completed shipping information (via vip.pentagon.games) who lock during Tranche A qualify for a one-time Founder's merch package. Subject to availability and shipping restrictions; one per member; no cash value; not part of the reward rate.
Your locked $PC sits in a smart contract withdrawable only by your wallet after the term; under current code it is not lent, invested, or accessible to the operator. Contracts are upgradeable by the program admin until the admin permanently and irreversibly locks upgrades on-chain (a planned maturity step); upgrades are announced in advance. Smart-contract, bridge, and blockchain risk apply; provided "as is." This interface is open-source and community-built (source) — anyone may review, fork, or self-host it. Non-custodial: you transact directly with the contracts from your own wallet. Always verify you are on the official Pentagon Games domain.
